Water Repair Update

Carports have been refinished!Â
Extensive repairs were made to four carports during the past couple of weeks. Deteriorated wood was replaced and painted, the structures and storage bins were made more secure, and new roofs were installed. The results are being evaluated before deciding whether to proceed with the other carports. Thanks to all affected residents for your cooperation in emptying your storage bins and keeping the area clear while the work was ongoing.
The HOA Board is happy to announce the water leak has been identified and is scheduled for repairs.
Please take notice that the East driveway of the Vermont Villas will be closed to traffic from May 9-13, 2011 for the replacement of a broken water line. The West gate will be opened for the duration of the repairs as a convenience to the owners, residents and their guests.
The water will need to be shut off following the trenching of the driveway. More than likely only four buildings will be affected by this shut off, building 1600, 1700, 1800, and 100, however it is possible that other buildings may be affected as well.
Work is complete on our 27 carports. This has been the biggest project in many years at Vermont Villas, taking over six months to complete. Coordination and cooperation from RAF Construction, Knudsen Roofing, the Board of Directors, Elite Management and all owners and residents allowed the work to be completed without major obstacles and ahead of schedule. All deteriorated wood has been either replaced or shored up, and new roofs with a 10 year warranty have been installed. Years of steady saving allowed this project to paid for from our reserve fund, instead of by special assessment. A big thank you goes to all who participated in this project, especially owners and residents who heeded the call to make their carports accessible for the work.
